Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 March 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly and provide information to improve your experience.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.

  • Session / Authentication - Keeps you signed in across pages. Set by NextAuth. Expires when you sign out or after the session timeout.
  • CSRF Protection - Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. Set automatically by our authentication system.

Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used and to identify areas for improvement. Analytics requests are routed through our own domain (rocknell.com) via a reverse proxy, meaning these cookies are set as first-party cookies.

  • PostHog session & identity - Tracks anonymous usage patterns such as page views, feature usage, and session duration. Data is processed in the EU (PostHog EU Cloud).

3. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are set
  • Delete individual or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific or all sites
  • Block third-party cookies

Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the Service. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect functionality.

To opt out of PostHog analytics specifically, you can enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser, which we respect.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertisers. PostHog analytics cookies are set through our own domain (first-party) via a reverse proxy and are not shared with third parties.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

6. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at legal@rocknell.com.
